Animation Extras

Animation Extras is a free Onion Skinning addon for Blender.

Onion Skinning (also called "ghosting") allows you to see multiple frames of your animation simultaneously. This visual feedback helps animators keep track of the flow of their animaion.

Benefits of the Animation Extras addon for Onion Skinning:

• free and open-source
• fast
• intuitive and easy to use
• customizable: control the number of frames, as well as the color and transparency of the previous/future frames

Limitations:

• Only one object at a time: Onion Skinning of multiple objects is not supported.
• May not work in Blender 4.0 and later (officially the latest supported version in Blender 2.9)
